Can you remove the stickers from a EC70....

seat post. I am not looking at saving weight. I just want the clean look of carbon.

    Thanks

they are embedded in the gelcoat. you can not remove them without damaging the post.

I heard that you can remove them with acetone, but personally, I would be leery of using any kind of solvent on CF.

In a fall I managed to give my Easton EC70 post a good bit of rock action and I noticed I lost a bit of the logo which, as mentioned above, is below the clear coat. You cannot remove the logo's at all.

For what it is worth, I thought that the logo is a good bit below the top layer of clear coat (if that makes sense) so removing it could lead to post failure.

After a failed attempt to re-clear coat my EC70 seatpost to cover scratches, I used laquer thinner to remove the clear coat I applied and it took the decals off as well. I polished out the scratches with Simichrome polish then put a coat of automotive wax on to protect it. No harm done to the carbon fiber resin at all.
