Bontrager race xxx lite seatpost for AM?

I know its a roadie component but I see ppl using them for mtb. Would putting the post on an AM rig be stupid? I flow really well, I've been riding ss rigid for 7 years now. I am building up an Ibis Mojo HD for XC and AM and some light DH. I stand a lot while riding, especially when I jump or ride downhill. I know an Enve seatpost would be a better bet but the bontrager is soo much cheaper. I will be riding this bike on trails that I ride with my xc rig, but with all of that travel I may push it a little more. Also, can I use a saevid s1 for the same application? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Um... how does that answer my questions? Saevid + Bontrager does not equal Tune. He uses lightweight parts, but not the parts I am contemplating using.

You're really missing out if you don't run an adjustable post on an AM bike. It's hard to get over the weight initially, but after a ride you'll understand.

Thanks for the suggestion but that is not an option. Not in the budget and not something I feel I need.

Well if it's not in the budget then DO NOT try one on a friend's bike.

P.S. I have an extra Joplin I'll sell for $80.
