anybody use a KMC X10 chain for 9 speed?

I believe nino first reported this is possible, but anybody race or otherwise test this setup. I don't get very good life out of hollowpin chains and am looking for an alternative light chain.

i bought one on christmas. It´s mounted on the bike. it cost me 35€ at the lbs.

i have just mounted the rocket twister i received this afternoon. I´ll tell you how it goes after a few hundred km.

by the way: can anyone tell me how to open the quick link to dismount the chain. i had an xtr chain before and it didn´t have quick link so i don´t know how to open it. thanks in advance.

to take the chain off your bike you simply apply pressure inwards ...it's difficult to explain but one side of the powerlink goes in one direction and the other side in the opposite direction ....they have to pass each other ...take a close look at the holes in the powerlink and you will understand.

i know that. I open and closed the quick link when this wasn´t mounted yet. But then i mounted on the bike, i closed the link and now i can open it. It´s easy to apply strength on the normal chain tension direction, but it´s very difficult to make it backwards....

there is some magic squeeze that must be applied with one hand while pushing the link together with the other. Try squeezing it - once you get it you'll see.
