    Anthem advanced 29er

    Hello,

    Could I get some recommendation on shedding some weight off of my rig....

    it's sitting at about 24.5lbs now:

    Biggest/cheapest upgrade might be the handlebars. Should be able to save at least 100g with a carbon flat bar for < $100. These are a good example, although may be narrow depending on your preference:

    I do have a new bar on the list, I had ordered a Hylix cheap carbon bar at 138g but when I was installing it, it made a lot of cracking noise and it wasn't even at the proper torque (using torque wrench) so I ditched it! Now I'm just not sure what to get.

    easton haven bars are well respected. They are about 175g. You can find them onsale for 70-80.

    Seatpost will save you a similar amount (100g). Depending on how long your seatpost is you could cut it.

    Is this like bike anorexia?
