Wondering about ability to handle an actual chain drop. Have you tried to get it to fall off?
Did you find a way to keep the guide part from spinning on it's pivot under stress?

Otherwise a very respectable weight and really hope it works out, I had intended to try something similar using an ultralight seatpost clamp myself.

Parlee 'like' carbon clamp, Cervelo P2/P3 seatpost, Zipp extensions bar tip. Stainless bolt. All laying on my drawer.

I tried with my own hands and the outer side its ok but the inside I still have my doubts ... but I have something in mind to Improve that.

In no way the guide will pivot, bolt is fixing everything really well. You should try out or keep up with your idea.

That's super simple and smart as well, my problem was with clearance because of the suspension link, I had to bring the design from a higher level, that is why it looks so long, but works! Yours is definitely a great solution for hard tail frames.
