2012 Trek Superfly AL Elite lightening ideas?
Superfly AL Elite - Trek Bicycle
Allready have wheelset, hope hubs, db spokes, stans crest rims, AL nipples, tubeless, bonty 29-1 x 2.0 Team issue and 1x10
Any other ideas? good bang for buck in cranks, seat post, etc?

I don't really know the weight of the handlebars and seatpost but my guess is you can save about 200g with KCNC ti pro lite seatpost and mt zoom handlebars and probably 100g on the seat as well.
I would also change the cassett to something like sram xg-1080 or shimano xtr and the discs to ashima ai2.

I Considered seatpost - was looking at Thomson Elite, but my stocker in 27.2x400 weighs 258g. (thomson = 289g) . IS durability an issue with KCNC ti pro lite seatpost? I go on 2 hour training rides. weigh 160lbs
Seat weighs 267g. It is comfortable though - now just trying to find lighter and just as comfy.
Stock bars Bontrager Race Lite Low Riser, 31.8mm, weigh 160g
Rotors are cheap enough.
Cassette I will have to research grams to $$ for now. For my aftermarket wheelset, dealer sold me some low-level sram (pg 1050 or 1030) hav to check which one

I've been using the KCNC seatpost for about 1,5 years with no issues and I weigh about 165-170lbs and I train around 15-20h/week on that bike. It weighs about 145g in the 27,2x350 size so you'll save quite a lot there. I use the tioga spyder saddle that weighs around 150g and I find it more comfortable then my heavier stock saddle.
The Mt Zoom handlebar is 85g in the 580 version. The wider 640 is about 100-115g. I haven't tried this one myself, but I'm about to order the wider one. Mount Zoom » THE Ultimate Carbon Flat Bar, from 85g!
I use a shimano xtr cassett as it came stock on my bike but I think the sram xg-1080 is cheaper and as lite as the xtr.

I just bought a Sella Itallia SLR xc flow. 180gms, seems comfortable (havent given it a good run yet) very well made and desinged for crashing without bashing the seat.
Well thought out

You're going to want a 1080 cassette. Much less $$ than XX but nets >120g saving over a 1050

Since my original post I added Bontrager Foam Grips (Cheap, lite and comfortable- the ones with ribs) and bolt on skewers (lite and cheap - I use trunk mount bike rack).
Over the winter I will update seat (flight?) and cassette (sram 1050? with something smaller than I think 36t it came with stock)

One more thing
Maybe change rotors - I have Dirty Dog w/ spider pattern. Maybe Avid G3 or Ashima. Any feedback on Ashima Air rotors of of ebay?
-
Carbon bar/post of choice.
Selle San Marco Aspide carbon saddle - 125g
Aerozine seatpost clamp - 9g
CB EB3 pedals modded w/ ti spindles
ESI grip
Nice deals to be had on FSA SL-K Light cranksets right now ($250ish). Not über light, but quite good weight/stiffness/price.

Take off your front derailleur and keep in on the 32t. I have the same bike. Excellent choice. I found it to be plenty quick and can run with the best of them in stock form.

So, what does the bike weigh with everything you've done to it?

After going single speed and taking two inches off the handle bars and that's it. 22.3lbs. I love it. It's a 2013 al elite too

Before I added foam grips and bolt on skewers I was @ 22.5lbs. (frame size med, per rapala fishing scale)

Recent upgrade. I bought a demo Selle Italia SLR XC Saddle (170g) of ebay for $66. It's like new.

Just to balance out the WW and b/c everyone loves pics, here is my fiance's 30lb 15in 2012. Not so light in stock form and we've just made it heavier.
