The weather here in Yakima is awesome right now. I've been riding cowiche canyon but I'm looking for more! Its too early to get into the cascades, or is it? Anyone know of good singletrack that is ready to shralp? I'm thinking down in the columbia river gorge or where-ever. whos got the inside info? thanks!
i've heard that Syncline is a great winter option. There are some local goodies, but i'm not certain they justify the trek from Yakima unless you're really hurtin. Lots of forest service trails in the Cascades that are below 3000 are probably worth trying.
It really looks like with this weak winter, we will have a longer riding season in the high country.
thanks skooks, I'll look into the Syncline trail this weekend. I'm just waiting for the snow to melt so I can head up into the mtns. The awesome weather is starting to drive me batty!
We are also talking about heading down to Walla Walla.
Let me know if your going to do the Jolly Mtn ride this summer. It was a sweet view from the top!
Yah i'll head up there again, it's pretty nice up there. i'll post it somewhere, hopefully we'll catch you out there or another goodie, like Little Bald, Osborne, or Hamilton...
I'll keep an eye out for your rides, something should mesh together.
Sweet photo btw, we'll be up there pretty soon.
We ended up going down to Walla Walla and the Blues. The camping was free and our energy ran out before the trails did. Definitely some more exploring to be done! The visit to Palouse Falls was awesome today too.
