I've only seen rabbits and elk. I expect there are some bears, depending on where you go. Possibly cougars. If you're OK in Alaska, I am sure you'll be OK here.

It's a pretty tame wildlife scene compared to Alaska. Often deer, occasionally elk, very rarely a bobcat, (black) bear, or cougar. Haven't been dived at by an owl or hawk although I suppose it's possible. I've had angry momma grouse tell me off, lol....

The worst thing you might run into would probably be a random tweaker.

Saw a bear up close at Tiger Mtn once, other than that just some squirrels usually.

Taylor Mountain- Black Bear. One lives near the trails.

    Tiger Mountain- Bobcat, Cougar, deer.

Tapeworm area- Mink, grouse, deer, coyotes, cougar, red fox and a month or so ago I was out doing trail work and came across a bull Elk. That one scared the crap out of me due to the size. You dont see Elk in the lowlands often anymore.

It's a tough job, but here's some Wild Life I've had to deal with at my favorite trail network.
