WANTED: Bellingham Sublet for July 2014

    Hey all,
I know its early to be looking but you never know.

I live in Denver and as a teacher I have summers off. I am planning on spending the month of July in Bellingham and hoping to find a sublet house for a month. I will need 2-3 bedrooms, at least partially furnished. I will have some friends visiting here and there so I would like to accommodate them.

I will sign a sublet agreement, give a security deposit.. whatever it takes.

Hope to keep the cost to around $1000-$1200.

I am handy, can help with stuff around the house/yard if needed. Can take care of your plants and pets maybe if you need it, or if you just don't want your house to be vacant and you can make a little money, hopefully a win/win situation for both of us.

Please keep yours ears open and let me know if you hear of anything.

    Thanks!
    BBZ

Have you looked into VRBO for a condo rental? It might come in slightly above your budget but it might be a good place to start.

Yes, I started there, but there is not a lot available in the Bellingham area and its very expensive. Just got an email from one that wanted $7k for the month?? So far the best I have come up with on VRBO would cost over $4k for a month.

Yikes, that's pricey all right. If Bellingham doesn't work out, you might want to consider renting in places like Burlington or Mt Vernon. I'm guessing you want to soak up the Bellingham vibe but these other towns could be a workable alternative.
