    Tires for Colonnade?

Hi, folks: My office is behind the Colonnade and so I'm going to keep a bike at work for lunch rides, etc. I'm not doing any of the technical stuff. Apparently it's pretty dry; what kind of tires are you running under there? Thanks for any suggestions.

Anything built for desert conditions should do fine

Seriously though, most of the switchback stuff with all the rock retainer walls should be rideable with just about any tire. The dirt by all the jumps has gotten extremely powdery over the years though, what most people call moon dust. I don't change my tires just for Colonnade (Maxxis Ardents), but you definitely want to be aware of how loose things are before you hit some of those corners. A quick walk through and you should be fine.

Careful of the rocks and wood on the hillside (easier sections). They were super wet when I was there a couple weeks ago just from seeps. It looked slippery but I still washed out a couple times...
