Just saw this in a FB feed- THIS WILL AFFECT GETTING TO TANEUM JUNCTION DURING THE WEEK

Repairs Slated for Taneum Road and Campground
Cle Elum - Beginning August 13st Forest Service Road 33, Taneum will be closed to public use from 6:00AM until 6:00PM Monday through Friday between Taneum Campground and Icewater Creek Campground near the junction with Forest Service Road 3330, Gnat Flat. The road will be open evenings and weekends.
Segments of the road damaged by floodwaters will be repaired. This project will involve replacing and adding new gabions in Taneum Creek as well as repair and reconstruction of two segments of the road itself. Gabions, or rock filled cages, will be placed in the creek to prevent erosion and protect the integrity of the steam channel as well as the adjacent road.
Road repairs are expected to be complete by October 31, 2014.
Forest visitors wishing to access the area above the closure can do so by driving over Peoh Point on Forest Service Road 3350 which originates on Westside Road near South Cle Elum. The area can also be accessed by traveling on Manastash Road, Forest Service Roads 31, 3120 and 3330.
Taneum Campground will close for the season on August 10th. Several campsites within the campground are situated within the riparian zone along Taneum Creek. This area is flood prone, and these sites have incurred significant flood damage numerous times in the past. Not only is it costly to repair this damage, it is detrimental to the health of the stream and fish habitat. As a result, these campsites will be removed and the riparian area will be restored to a natural state.
