    Snow levels on Mt. Constitution?

Thinking of heading out to Orcas Island on Sunday to ride Mt. Constitution. Anyone have recent trail conditions or snow levels?

    Thanks.

You should be good in the no snow department. I took a ferry and went riding there about 2 weeks after we got that big snow in January.

Trail conditions always improve with the annual Mt. Biker work parties fixing up the already stout trails that were built in the Great Depression by the CCC.

When do the trails shut down to bikers @ Mt.Constitution?

Where can I find trail maps?

You can get a good feel for snow on the Mt. Constitution webcam.

Trails close to MTB on May 15th. Snow is not an issue there. The trails are very nice, but not very challenging. Take a hard tail. More info here: http://evergreenmtb.org/wiki/index.php?title=Trail:Mount_Constitution

I was out there yesterday, although without a bike. There were a couple inches of snow on the trail around most of mountain lake, and the snow-free sections were really soggy. The road was gated there, and it looked like it got snowier the higher you went. I can't imagine it melted out substantially today. It's looking like the snow levels will be down low again this sunday, so you may want to hold off this weekend.
