    Silent Sweeetness!

Walked the soon to be open section of Silent Swamp today. What an absolute work of art!! Very fast & flowy. Some light tech on top to keep it interesting, and even a nice doubles section near the bottom.

Unfortunately, the top section is VERY sloppy right now, and in other circumstances I think shouldn't be ridden with all the rain tomorrow -- but I'm still glad they made the call to do it anyway cuz the trail is so awesome. Will probably require lots of post race repair on top, but bottom 2/3s is bomber.

Big props to Tyler and the work teams. Can't wait to ride it tomorrow!

That top section did not exist 1 week ago. Tyler, Bryan and a really hard working crew did an amazing job getting it ready.

Wait, are you saying that the Silent Swamp trail is going to be in the Enduro course tomorrow?

Due to all the rain Silent Swamp was a mud run today. 1-2ft deep mud in places up top and most people had to walk a bunch of it. What took about 3-4 minutes to ride after a work party last week took 10-12 minutes at the race today. The lower section was decent though.

It is an amazing trail that will hopefully get fine tuned all winter and be ready for April 2014!

    Silent Sweeetness!

Yeah, I feel bad for all the massive damage we did to the upper part of the trail today. Need to go help rebuild it.

Yeah the trail looked horrible after we all rode and ran it. But it'll dry out and fix up real nice. Definitely some opportunity for more rock in places. One thing I noticed was you could tell where someone got into good mineral dirt and where someone didn't quite get there. Just a take away for me to keep scratching until I've got a bunch of gold.
