Silent Swamp sawyers assist last two fridays

This humble thanks is to the EMBA team connecting Preston to NW Timber trail.

The sawyers were asked to assist and last Friday 4 of us came out and did what we could. Today was week 2 of three and we were shown how the corridor we took from flagging had become trail. We were completely fired up and attempted to clear the 1000' of flagged line today and next Friday we will see how far our builder heroes have made it and we should all be inspired by their work ethic example as well as how a team of four sawyers chasing mssr Ty's line can assist progress as BroBryan is running the excavator and grabbing and tossing and digging and a week later it is good.

Very symbiotic triangular relationship of a swarm of saws helping an excavator based on a well flagged line.

The saws will be back for more next Friday and let's make this about our excavator heroes not wasting time cutting just moving our debris and building.

Lend a hand when you can as this is a historic moment: Preston to Nw timber via awesome trail.

    Signed,

    compatriot

    third installment

third installment of bucking went well. Four sawyers sawed from 9 am till 5 pm, and pretty much got everything down to the connection with NWTimber. all varieties of logs. WCC had a crew up there as well assisting.

4 saws for a full day can get a ton of stuff cut....especially if you have some folks helping woodchuck behind.

I don't know about down south, but everywhere we've been sawing/scouting/riding recently leads to finding a yellow jacket nest (or three). One buddy has decided to use a tyvek suit with a paintball mask to seek revenge on all bees nests now, but it usually involves someone getting bit a bunch first!

I think with the extended sun/dry period this summer, it's worse than I can remember in a while.

There aren't nearly enough songs about chainsaws. It's a travesty!

Speaking of Tiger, this was a little before sunset this evening maybe 1/4 mile in from the top of Preston looking up the hill. Awesome. The picture as usual doesn't convey what it looked like.

Thanks for all the awesome chainsaw work y'all! It was great running into two of the guys last weekend out there working with big smiles and big saws!

I know everyone can't wait to ride this baby. So if you're as excited as we are, get thyself to a trail work party and help out. We've got a good one happening on Saturday, November 2nd with a bbq sponsored by Element Cycles. There'll be libations, and likely some cool shwag too.
