    Shots from your last ride [o]

    I know the season is just getting going for us, but I think it would be cool to share some shots to help get the riding stoakage going. You can keep your secret handshake trail names private if you're worried. Here are a few from our ride today, its a nice Spring riding spot way down in the Southeast corner of our fine state;

    It's from the North Fork trail along Asotin Creek. Near Clarkston in the Southeastern corner of WA. It meanders a long the creek for about 10 miles then takes a sharp near fall line 1000ish feet climb up into the Blue Mountains. The ride is an out and back and the big climb out of the canyon is usually avoided as it is mostly un ride able. Nice out and back ride for early Spring time, it drys out way before other trails in the area. It becomes terribly hot and snake ridden later on. It's not really worth traveling to get to but if you live over here or are stopping through the area in the Spring it's definitely a must ride.

    About three weeks ago on Capital Peak...taking a break!

    This one was yesterday on my road bike. Was craving some climbing so I went out and did Bordeaux Rd which heads up and over Capital Forest, really great road segment for a no traffic scenic route with a burner of grade.

    Enjoying duthie hill. This place is amazing. Being that I moved here from florida this is by far the best riding I have done. I can't believe this place is less than 2 miles from my apartment.

    Very old cabin- this ones no secret. Near the crest of Divide Ridge at about 5400'. Good luck finding the others... hidden away in a seldom traveled "holler"...though cabin #1 has had it's wood stove replaced and has fresh fire wood split & stacked... Someones taking care of it. Friends & I took shelter in that one during a severe thunderstorm back in the mid '80's.

    What can I say, it looked good from the highway... I had full intentions of riding Skookum out and back Saturday but then when I got close, Sun Top started calling. I just couldn't help myself.
    Obvious mistake. A few miles of pushing bike through the snow and loosing the trail once or twice made for a long but fulfilling day.

    Cruddy cell phone pics but it is a good measure of snow still on trail:

    When I got to the top of the trail, I was thinking the same thing. My day was pretty well overcast and ended up raining pretty good by the time I got back to the truck.

    Thanks. The trail is/was super muddy in sections along the river and there is definitely some hiking with the bike on the shoulder in spots. It was absolutely pouring rain about halfway into my ride so that didn't help. I got turned around at the Dingford bridge because of the downpour. If it has 3 or 4 days of dryness it would be great.

    Really good late season riding still happening in the Southeast corner.

    Where are you riding in the southeast corner? I'm in the Tri-Cities and interested in any late season riding opportunity I can get.

    This is near Asotin. It is rolling good right now, but it looks like some weather will be moving in this weekend that might make the upper section no good till Spring. Here's the GPS track; Mountain Bike Ride Profile | North Fork Asotin near Clarkston | Times and Records | Strava

    Awesome shot. I plan to do Ranger creek to Palisades (on HWY 410 near Greenwater) tomorrow! hard to believe some of this stuff is still open...

    Kyle - that pic 'down pinkham' is a great shot. Wish I had one of me like that. I hope that one is going to get framed and up on a wall.
