This Sat: S Fork and Harris Lake shuttle ride/work party

Check out the new trail work on the Harris Lake side of the South Fork Snoqualmie trail system. Shuttle ride work party posted: Evergreen MTB Calendar

We'll meet and drop cars on the 9020 Road at the Mclellan Butte trailhead off of exit 38 (http://goo.gl/maps/OORMb) => then Tyler will shuttle Graham and all the volunteers up to the Hansen Ridge TH (up above exit 47) => then the group will ride the Phase 1 and Phase 2 trails and some logging road over to Harris Lake ==> where all the tools and some freshly built trail will be waiting => do a little hand finishing behind the excavator => ride down the trail and 9020 Rd all the way back to the cars. What a day!

Here are some pics of the recent road to trail conversion up by Harris lake:

This was a 16% fall line road of loose cobble rock... unclimbable. Now it's a little loose and needs some packing, but very climbable...

That should be a sweet workparty! If I wasnt going to Whistler I'd be all over it. The Hansen Ridge ride is a lot of fun.

20 miles of riding, single track rough road and RR grade. Got shuttle to top of Hansen Ridge, rode to work site, did a bit of work, rode down to cars at Exit 38. Long day but totally worth it. This location is hard to get volunteers in so camping 1 night would be best. That's what Graham and Tyler are doing, it takes them an hour to drive up the FS road. Hit it now, flower in bloom, some berries and first hint's of fall colors.
There's a big difference between ripping and skidding. Those who skid don't know how to ride.
