    Riding near Tumwater?

I am going to be in Tumwater for a training on Monday, March 24th and want to get a ride in around 5:00PM. I know Capitol Forest is fairly close. Not sure how far.

I rode Capitol Forest during the 50 mile race but can't remember much about the area.

Jaybo, this page contains a lot of info. The above link will not get you there, but if you type it in it should be fine. Have fun. Looks like the link works!

Definitely head out to Capital Forest. You'll have to hustle to get a full loop in. Bring a light if you can. Best relatively short ride is the so-called Poker Run. Up the Wedikind Trail from the Falls Creek trailhead, connect onto Trail 50 or Green Line Connector to Green Line 6 trail, turn right onto Green Line 6 back to the trailhead. About an hour and a half if you move quickly. It will be muddy in places, but it should be pretty rideable after the sunshine this weekend. Another good loop is up Green Line 6 from the Margaret McKenney Campground which connects into Mima Falls Trail back to Margaret McKenney.
