Ride Recc. between Black Rock and Duthie

We're road tripping up to Whistler and hitting Black Rock this Friday, and planned on Duthie Sunday.

Looking for suggestions for a Saturday ride on the way between Black Rock and Duthie? We'll have DH rigs and 5" Trail bikes.

    Thanks

We're hitting Galbraith on Monday. Looking for something on the way in between Black Rock and Duthie for a Saturday ride.

I was reading about Capitol Forest...that may be an option.

Didn't get your answer off the OR forum?

Lots of fun stuff on the way up. St. Helens, Cap Forest, 410 stuff (Palisades/Ranger Creek/Sun Top, etc.)
Even that Growler's Gulch place outside Centralia we can't get a map for....

Sounds like Cap. Forest will be good. It looks like 5 hours from Black Rock and i'm guessing there are places to camp nearby.

Now to find a map and campsite.

Anyone wanna show us around Saturday?

Cap Forest would be great, I am sure. But if you want something really memorable, you might think about Ape Canyon/Plains of Abraham.

Agree 100%. If you've never done it, do it.

Totally agree! Do Ape/Plains or Palisades. The high country is truly amazing and only doable for a short time each year. Ape/Plains is truly world class, and Palisades is just as good, just not quite the otherworldly experience you get on Mt. St. Helens.

    Mountains are cool!
