Ride opportunites near Pasco/Richland/Kennewick
I may be sent to a conference coming up in the next few weeks in Pasco. I've never been to that part of washington before. I'd most likely take a day or two off afterwards and bring my bike along with me and go riding (almost assuredly solo) if I can find something to ride.
Is there anything within that area that I can ride? The closest riding I know is Sandy Ridge near Mt Hood (which isnt very close, but it is on the way home).
I'd be driving from the Salem OR area so bonus points for trails south and west rather than north and east.
There is the State Patrol trail network just barely south of Kennewick.
Then there is the Chamna Preserve between Richland and Kennewick.
Each of those is good for a couple hours of riding, but don't expect anything exceptional.
Then there is the Echo (OR) trails. Also good, a bit more extensive than the Tri-Cities trails. About 40 miles south of Kennewick, or just a little further east on I-84 than the I-82 turn-off that will take you north into Kennewick.
Lastly, there is Yakima's Rocky Top. I have not been there. Here's some info: Rocky Top - Yakima, WA
