    Question on bike sizing

I bought a new bike last summer. I have exactly there inches of space between the bar and where my body goes. No more, no less.

Is this sufficient? Looking online, it sounds like three inches is sufficient...but everyone I talked to had different numbers. I don't plan on doing anything extreme, just pavement, packed gravel, and some trail riding, but no logs or rockhopping.

    Question on bike sizing

I had a cannondale flash last summer I used out there all time. Currently I ride a full rigid singlespeed out there for my shorter loops. The hardtail might not be as comfortable as a full squish bike for hours of riding but I wouldn't say there's anything out there unrideable on a hardtail. If you haven't done any winter riding around here your missing out! I think I enjoy the dreary rain and slick roots over summer dust and heat.
