I was digging through the ancient archive and found this 1998 forest service document. Its dated but points out how sawyers double productivity and save wear and tear on back legs and feet and the range of the bike allows workers to* save the weight of camping gear. Also points out that path to enlightenment begins with bike control skills before adding the saw.

Nothing fancy just good to find a publication validating the obvious.
