    Miller peak RR

I rode Miller CW from Hwy 97 on Sunday. Most blowdowns have been cleared except on the top trail to the peak - there are a couple. That trail still has quite a bit of snow too. The ridge trail has snow in the usual two places as it traverses the side of the mountain. Other than that, the trail was in a great shape and the hikers seemed friendlier than usual

The first two pictures are from the peak. The last one is on the way down
    Iron creek.

Wow, awesome! Coincidentally, I just migrated the content on Miller Peak over to the new Evergreen Trail Guide Sunday night. Care to review (and test out posting a ride report)?

Rode it today. Very nice. We went up from 97 then CCW. After dozens of rides on Miller in each direction I am now back to being a firm CCW believer. Get some !

Just curious, why is CCW "better" than CW? Thinking of trying to get out to ride Miller (first time) this weekend.

CCW you get to ride your brakes all the way down Miller Creek instead of pushing up the moto chunder. Personally, I'm with Art's out and back version from now on. From either Iron Bear or Iron Creek. Both are manageable to the 4 way at the ridge and real fun to go back down. The "only" bad part is the volcano puke section between the false summit and the peak it self and going back up it is worth it IMHO to get the descent all the way from the false summit to either side of the ridge. YMMV...Have fun!

CCW will leave you with enough juice to push/ride up to the peak, and then you get a great downhill all the way down. CCW is pretty reasonable riding the whole way.
If you go CW, you will face one of the top 3 climbs in WA, and may be too juiced to make it to the peak.
