    MF Snoqualmie shrubbery status?

Heading up to ride MF later this week. Anybody have recent beta on fern growth, any recent gardening? Probably going all the way to DMG and back.

I was hoping to clear everything with a herring.

    LOL

Ah brave sir knight, you have wisely anticipated my second request.

BTW, I don't go by Ni anymore. Too many people kept mis-spelling it. Working on a new name that rolls off the tongue better.

I went up for a brushing party about a month ago, and we left things in pretty darn nice shape - trying to get things whacked back before they had a chance to take over the trail. I suspect a few spots will be starting to overgrow a tad, especially on the lower section (we did Goldmeyer to Dingford). But overall I'd expect it to be in pretty stellar condition.

Do let me know if it's getting too thick up there and we can try to rally another rolling work party. And of course if you feel like taking some loppers up with you, no one here would complain... :-)

A handful of us went up on the 5th and it was pretty good. The bracken ferns were pretty thick up top, but that's MF for ya. Keep in mind the road closure: Trail:Middle Fork Snoqualmie River - Evergreen Trail Guide

Thanks. Will be bringing loppers to do my share.

Thanks for heads up on road closure, but I thought they finished early? I haven't verified tho.

    Re: MF Snoqualmie shrubbery status?

In the MF opens 6/1 thread I documented removing a tree and brushing the sunny bracken fern area up top.

Below the bridge last years work will hold up until at least next year.

Still on upper trail section a broken 20" across on last mile looked potentially rideable and I had no tools so likely a step on exit by now or heck ride it as it lays.

As Stacy mentions a group of folks cleared the worst places on the middle section down from goldmyer so the lower section below dingford will still likely be passable so let us know.
