    Higher elevation snow levels???

Hoping to get some intel on where snow levels are at from those that have been up in higher elevations recently (anywhere in WA. or B.C.) A friend rode Suntop Saturday and said there was a bit of snow up top but it was all rideable....gives me hope that the good fall rides aren't all totally shut out yet.

The Kettle Crest (N) had little tiny patches in the shade but that is all.

The snow level is down to 5k again this week so the upper trails may get a dusting.

We got some 410 in yesterday. Snow level is about 5000'.
There's a solid 10" on the shady side of the upper corral pass connector trail.
Lower down conditions were great! But I think we're 1-2 storms away from snow pack.

Since we're going all-out on the weather nerd links here (nice!)
Snow telemetry, predictive stuff might not be functional right now w/ shutdown crapola going on.
Mountain (and not-so-mountain) collection of web cams- not for the bandwidth challenged.
Mesonet observations- nice to check just how sogged various places got in the last 24 hours before deciding where to ride...
UW high res doppler and IR sat for the NW.
Assuming we kids can ever have Nice Things again, there's a really good new graphical forecast from NOAA. In the meantime you have to settle for the old one.

snow about 5500 on the eastside, 5000 anything facing north. Deep up to 18"s north facing. Was melting pretty quickly though.

Rode up Devil's Gulch to the road and back Sunday. Trail was in amazing shape with just a few puddles. A bit of permafrost on the top mile of Devils where the trail is north facing even at 1pm or so on a very sunny day. Should be epic if the weather holds as expected.
I think it's just around the next corner...

Upper Mission Ridge trail, and the road up to it, was a bit muddy/sloppy/slippy Saturday night. A few snow patches, but not on the tread.
No rain/snow in the forecast through the weekend.

No such thing as permafrost around here.

Anyone know if Esmerelda Loop is still clear? I have a chance to go camping out that way this weekend, wondering if it's worth bringing the bike or not to hit that loop. Thanks!

Considering there is snow at 5000 and above around West Fork Teanaway I'd think that ride would be a bit more challenging than normal but don't have maps handy to see elevations ...also Boulder/Deroux has some damage too I believe. Maybe go on WTA or some other hiker site and see if anyone has been up in those areas recently...

I did Roslyn->WF->Roslyn. A tentative idea had been to hike-a-bike along Sasse Ridge trail on the way back, but considering it was snowed in, my feet were freezing and it was getting late, I opted for the shorter route back.

The Esmeralda loop brings you up to 6k el. Maybe with all the sunshine this week it'd be a possible?

So by Roslyn do you mean ride the Cle Elum ridge over to West Fork, then up WF to top then back down?

Rode Kachess yday with FM and some others....the approach trail had some snow on it but the first third was rideable then once on top there is more snow but its patchy initially. The meadow area was mostly unrideable and it was hit or miss until it gets into the trees where it remained snow free to the end. We shuttled and a couple of us did 3 runs so conditions varied throughout the day but it obviously wasn't bad enough to keep me away. The rest of the trail was amazing! Beautifully saturated dirt that held you firmly in its bosom while pushing through corners
