    Grand Ridge Work 11/9

We're going to fix some wet spots.

I'm still a little sick in the stomach about TKE (& seahawks vs rams)...

To clarify the project area is just above the middle bridge towards the bog boardwalk @ that short flat wet area aka lake blaise by a WTA volunteer. We are pretty close to number of folks to make it work but a couple of more trail gurus or otherwise would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, Len will be riding. It will be nice to have some folks get started before the rest of us show up. If you have a pack with extra room bring it. We'll need some walkers to carry tools.

    So does this mean anything?

(Hint: why did the county put 20 of these signs up?)

    Dear grand ridge riders...

Rode GR today and the fixes were great! There is really only one major mud hole now anit is only a few week long.

Glad the rain didn't turn the new dirt to goo. Fingers crossed.

I'm going to see if the county will move rock up to the clay corner area above the bog crossing when it freezes. We would place it after it thaws.

Will drain anything holding water up on that plateau before clay project but no major days seem needed but maybe a small group day enroute to the clay.

If we can pull off the clay hardening the next priority I can think of is those 3-4 wet areas down from grand ridge drive.

The project we focused on last week has held up just fine. The puddle I drained and shaped at the end was fine Monday but is now wet and muddy and needs rock.

I have an idea to ask you all to come out with a day pack and pedal a few loads between our rock mine and this area in early January.

Will advertise on mtbr and with signs at the drop site a couple weeks ahead of the event.

Its downhill from the mine down to the middle bridge then gentle grade up to the plateau. With each rider taking 30lbs per trip for an hour or two you will get in some good riding and help the trail.

    Stay tuned!
