    Galbraith Mt

Looking at getting a new bike come taxes live in Bellingham and wander what every body else is riding on Galbraith. What is the best bike for the mountain. My budget is around 1500. Only been a couple of times and love it it is to much for my hardtail.

I rode my hardtail up there for years when I visited. Now that I live here and have a better job, I've gone bigger. Lately, I'm riding a Kona Hei Hei. Probably one of the smaller bikes you'll see up there, at least in terms of suspension travel, but I like climbing singletrack and used to do a fair amount of XC racing. So it's already bigger than I was used to.

Watch Craig's List. And check out the demo bikes at Kulshan Cycles and used bikes at Fairhaven Bike and Ski. There might be something for you that fits your price.

Pinkbike is a good source for used bikes. I see a ton of Transitions up there.

Best bike is whatever you are comfortable on. You can ride Galby with just about any bike, just depends on your preferences. Find some bros and test ride their rigs.
