New question here. ETA on Ape Canyon & Smith Creek Loop opening up?

Hi WA folks! Greeting from sunny OR.

I've never done the Ape Canyon/Plains of Abe/Smith Creek loop, but I'd love to.

When do you experts figure it'll all be rideable and snow free?

I'd expect it'll be at least early July this year. Last year it was early August.

Keep an eye on the June Lake and Swift Creek SNOTEL sites if you want to know what snow levels in the area are.

I was down there skiing last weekend, probably three feet of snow at the Marble Mount snow park (which is really low, 2600').

I'm planning a trip to Mt. StHelens in July or August. Is there a recommended website for info on the trails. Trying to get a group of D.O.D up there for the Ape Canyon/Plains of Abaraham/Windy Point ride.
