The cap this year will be 200. If all goes well, we can increase the number of participants and the number of stages. Maybe even make it into a two day event. The possibilities are endless!

A course map can be viewed here. When completed, the website will have a complete course description.

So is the transition stages where they pull us up the majority of the climbing?

    I'm in!!

Sort of...The transition stages(non-timed) are mostly climbing and have cutt-off times. However, they are very generous and will give you plenty of time to ride your pace to each stage.

That's for the 50/100 mile race down there, not the Enduro.

No timing on the transitional rides, is that the usual format for such an event? Many of my riding buddies are really happy, me, not so much. Just throwing that opinion out there.

That's Enduro! Epic day(s) of riding, where you don't have to weenie out your bike in order to stay competitive on the climbs - and every turn is still earned.

These guys pretty much started it -

    See you there KC!

This is going to be fun. A great sampling of some classic trail S/SE side Capitol Forest trails.

No kidding. Some XC courses are indeed lame, and I get that super d is supposed to be tougher dh. But comparing cap forest super d to cap forest XC it looks more like XC lite.

    Looks great.

Not that it's a big ride or a bid deal, but will the riders have to figure out how to get themselves from Fall Creek (The finish) to the Peak (The start)? Or will there be a shuttle?

Still working on the logistics of that one. I have a couple options I'm working on and will let everyone know as soon as I get the details worked out.

Had an argument the other day about the whole Enduro format vs. traditional SuperD in the PNW. I'm all for the Enduro. More racing, more fun! If you have a mechanical...there's time to fix it and make it to the next stage. I believe the "riddler" will still dominate the Enduro race. But, a CAT1,2,3 rider with great DH skills will fair better than the super-fit, 25lb carbonXC bike, lycra clad roadie. Level the playing field a little bit while having more fun...sign me up! Now, I gotta go work on my fitness.

Thanks for the question. Riders are on their own to get to Capitol Peak for the start but we will provide a shuttle after the race from Fall Creek to Capitol Peak.
