    Dalles Ridge? Corral Pass?

Wondering if anyone has any recent info on Palisades/Dalles Ridge via Corral Pass Rd?

    Snotel site at corral pass:
    http://www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/nwcc/si...m=418&state=wa

Pick dates you've ridden it before and compare the snow level then to now.

This exercise requires each of us to accumulate our own data until the updated trail wiki at evergreen is released and you can see realtime current conditions.

Or try looking back a week or so on this forum.

Ranger/Palisades is wide open and snow free.

Not sure about rd 72/Dalles Ridge but I would bet that Corral Pass etc is still all snow.

Deep Creek is cleared of all trees and is open for at least the lower 3.5 miles; ran out of time for the last bit, so that remains unknown. That trail is a beast.

THanks for the hard work on Deep Creek yesterday Nuzzy and E.N.! You guys are animals!

Looked like still quite a snow load up high on Dalles Ridge / Noble Knob as viewed from below.

    cheers, gt

And thank you Graham (and EMBA) for putting together our chainsaw cert outing with the USFS yesterday morning.

We even had a wild Mike Westra sighting!

Nice! By far my favorite trail up there! One of the few places you can get your rotors to glow even in mid August sun!

That was the first time I'd seen it, and I believe every word you said. Holy hell. That trail basically is Mt Si: 4 miles and 3000'+ vert... I'm stoked to come back and ride it!

    Re: Dalles Ridge? Corral Pass?

We were denied from fs7250 to deep creek yesterday at about 40" on snotel corral pass. We lost the trail in the switchbacks and climbed up to see over ridge down to the south facing terminus where noble nob slips from south to north before entering the snowy switchbacks. Snow patches down there confirmed another 1/2 to 1 mile of snow over to deep creek so we bailed.

We made it across just fine a couple of years ago at 20" on snotel corral pass and even fs7174 corral pass road was open back then.

If you attempt from corral pass we left you some tracks to to help you find the ranger Creek side in the switchbacks :-)

We still need to log out the 3 mile noble nob stretch that we have not seen and the upper mile of deep creek so pictures with a bike wheel for size is perfect. GPS data is a bonus.

Same for suntop which we plan to give the Sawvant treatment just after we finish cp/dc.

Pm or Email fotos to: idiotsawvant@gmail.com . fyi tapatalk or mtbr removes gps data.

Awesome, and thanks for the TR. If you wouldn't mind helping us test the new Evergreen Trail Guide, can you try an equivalent "Ride Report" post to here:

I took the girlfriend for a hike this weekend. We drove up 72 road to the cut in trail and tired to get over to nobble nob. Hit snow at the SBs. So still no go on getting a clean ride on Noble Nob. By the 4th all you gravel roadies should be able to get your mindless road riding in.

We drove down the eastside of 72 road. That road is in way better shape if your going to be driving up to Dalles Ridge. More miles but you can drive faster and not beat your rig up.
Epic trails get built in the Northwest by epic people!

    Sustainable quality trails please.

everGreen freeDom riDers heading out in the morning attempting sun top and these trails in one day.

22" of snow is when road and trail across noble nob are snow free. This weekend you will find a 15 minute snow walk at 3 miles (deep is at 2 miles) where it ducks around behind rib of rock connecting over to dalles ridge.

When snotel says 3" the entire loop is snow free.

    Edit 11:44 7/4:

All good thanks to two previous log outs by fellow sawvengers only two were blocking on deep now gone.

    Have fun!

Corall Pass to Noble Nob, DeepCreek, and Suntop cleared

July 4, 2014: The idiot sawvants cleared the remaining blowdowns on CorallPass-to-NobleNob, DeepCreek, and Suntop trails. All the 410 trails around Skookum flats are good to go.

That being said - please don't skid through the switch backs.

    Awesome, thanks guys!

So Suntop and Noble knob to Ranger are both snow free / ridable now? I figured it'd be another week for suntop...

Heading that way tomorrow to show a friend around.

Corral pass snotel went from 3" yesterday to 0" today.

No more monkeys jumping on the keyboard.

    Ride!

I was up there yesterday and it's all wide open -- 25 foot flat snowfield to cross is all the off bike you will need.
I rode up Corral Pass Road and over Noble Knob trail to Dalles Ridge to Ranger Creek and descended that.

    2 notes:
    1. Attention Shuttlebunnies: Corral Pass road is ungated and snowfree.

    2. Bikes are tearing up Ranger Creek - especially on the switchbacks. This is destroying a gem of a trail and it really saddens me. This is a multi-use trail - can I say please stay on the established trail and try not to skid?
