Howdy all,
I was at St. Ed's and Big Finn yesterday and ran into a Grey Mangy Coyote. Kinda freaked me out a little as it looked almost rabid.
I did not think of it as a big deal but there were quite a bit of people walking their dogs yesterday that I warned all I came across. Most made hast to exit the park.
One lady I came across said that her and her husband had spotted it on New Years day so…….if you ride out there be aware and don't bring your dogs.
When I worked at St. Eds I would see them every few weeks early in the morning before it got busy. Quite a few deer too, and I've never seen them later in the day there.
"so…….if you ride out there be aware and don't bring your dogs."
I'll expand on this...
If you bring your dogs they're supposed to be on a leash. I don't really care about dogs on the leash so much as --->
Don't forget to pick up YOUR DOG POOP. If you have a dog with you and you see dog poop assume it is YOUR DOG POOP and pick it up (even if it may be a mangy coyote's poop). Not only is it common courtesy it is your responsibility as a dog owner.
eerie - thank you. yes, leash your dogs and please pick up your poop so my tires don't.
you see coyotes and deer in the neighborhoods surrounding st.eds/bigfinn all the time. they're like raccoon in suburban environments, pretty good at living off our garbage. kinda sad.
