Caution; Merge; Workers Ahead! Cherry Valley Update 10/15/2013

Very little mud and the trails were mostly clear. Very good trails in my opinion. I only had a chance to ride 6 miles of trail but plan on going back when I have more daylight.

We didn't take that one. We took cyclops and it wasn't overgrown at all.

Just got back from Cherry Valley, and happily it looks like the brushing and raking that was done earlier this year is still holding up great. Funner and Cyclops were both in nice shape and riding well. YGD was a bit slick from all the leaves up top, but nothing too bad. The connector from the bottom of YGD to the main FS road was more overgrown, but it looks like somebody recently started knocking it back in places.

I didn't realize that the FS road from the top of Cyclops to YGD was getting torn out where the creek crosses it either. Took me a few minutes to get my bearings when I came to that, looks SOOO much different

Yeah, the DNR recently got reluctant ownership of all that land and put the roads to "sleep" in several places as you have seen by digging up all the culverts.

Good to know on conditions. Hoping to get out with a final fall whack and blow soon. Elevator needs a re-vamp and that's on the list too. Was very ridable both ways in mid summer. And, the flattish fast middle ring connector to the right then left after YGD is Sick and Twisted. The next connector to the main road above No Road and indeed did get a little clearing a couple months ago on the West end. Just more to do.
