    On a brighter note

Big thanks to the rider who passed Mike and I working on Beaver Pond Trail this sunny afternoon and then rode back up later to offer us a cold beer from his pack. Pretty warm up there this afternoon and it hit the spot. Thanks again!

    On a brighter note

The beer thanks was much appreciated...

Maybe the beer got Borneo in describing our trail work results with words such as "flow" & "berms". :-)

Beaver Pond is riding great in both directions.

    Cheers,
    Mike

The last person that claimed they bought me a beer while i was building...looked in his pack and claimed "it was gone!" He said it was in the outside mesh and must have fallen out and be lying somewhere on the trail. I have been back in that zone at least 10 times and never seen a beer lying near the trail.

    No kidding.
Yeah, folks coming back to West and expecting the old BP Trail may be surprised in a few places....

The other thing worth noting that's pretty awesome is that if you look closely, you can see that the Beaver Pond loggers even took the care to fall the trees away from most of the trail leaving a relatively unscathed "fern row" about 40-60 feet wide along the trail which will really help keep it from drying out too much in the summer. Already starting to get dry in places but flowing oh so good right now. Half expect to see snowlkr video/pics popping up soon becasue of the sight lines and the great view into the valley for last run down in the evening. Dirt was great all over yesterday....
