Black Diamond trail names on Google Maps

Hey all, I noticed trails and trail names are showing up all over the place on Google maps... pretty schweeeet. Can anyone vouch for the accuracy of the trail alignments and trail names shown on King County's "Black Diamond Natural Area" land? Are spooky, kathleen, master link, route 66, etc. correct?

Awesome! Trails are showing up everywhere. Last time I went to Squamish, a bunch of trails were on OpenStreetMap.

Yup!! Pretty kool. The guy that is doing it ends up living about 12 houses away from me in the middle of Henry's. We are going high tech! He has one of those 4 foot long GPS antennas he wears on the top of his helmet to get better accuracy. LOL.........

His goal is to get all our local trails on Google Maps by the end of summer.

    Hi folks,

So far, I've added trails to Duthie Hill, Cedar Creek Park, and Black Diamond. egarding Tokul, I'd love to put those trails on. Question is - do we have landowner approval? If so, I can get started with mapping these trails. The other trail system that would be nice to capture is Soaring Eagle.

As far as the accuracy of the trails, I believe they're good to within 10 feet or so. I've ridden the trails several times and the alignment matches up quite well. Summit Ridge Guy has been helping with the names.

Mike, I'll send you a pm regarding my equipment.

I'd say we have permission since they are allowing us to publish maps for the area.

    Cheers,
