Are there any bike demos this weekend. It seems like last year there were a few that came a couple of days before the expo, but I've checked the manufacturer's websites and haven't seen anything.
Thanks! They have details of the expo, but no demos. I was wondering if any manufacturers are doing a demo since they will be here for the expo anyway.
it's a new site for the show so maybe no demo's....the weather is supposed to be somewhat rainy as well...i would contact your local dealer to ask about demo's, or call the manufacturer of interest. most will be just showing bikes. usually demo's are at st ed's or other local trail systems.
I've only been once and it was 80% roadie 20% MTB from what I remember. the MTB's were the big names that came with road bikes and then had a few MTB's on the side (nothing to ride, just to look at). The location is bigger this year though so there might be more.
We're taking a bunch of our high-end road and mountain bikes to the expo, but no demos - the parking lot is no place to give a worthy test ride. Come out to the shop to actually take a bike for a demo ride...
Most of the expo demo bikes are going to be electric, recumbent, or otherwise odd. We're working on getting a multi-brand demo day up at Duthie this summer... keep an eye out for that one.
That is a great idea. It would really be nice to test a few bikes back to back. BTW last time I went to a demo, I bought the bike a week later so at least for me, they do work.
EXCELLENT idea! Duthie is the ideal "MTB lab" IMO... there's a bit of everything in there without covering a ton of distance, so a person could just line 'em up and fire and have a very educated opinion on a whole range of bikes in an hour or so.
I could have really used this a few weeks ago... but... I'm sure not crying about my Ibis, lol!
You could have come to Issaquah to demo the Ibis Mojo that's in our demo fleet... You would have ended up buying it after riding it anyway. =)
I'll keep everyone posted on factory demo visits, but don't hesitate calling us for demos of Niner, Salsa, Santa Cruz, Turner, Specialized, and Ibis that are in the store every day. Sorry for the shameless self-promotion.
We'll also be at the expo showing some fun stuff. I walked around the expo venue today after we set up our booth - there are some cool bikes being shown and the cruise terminal is really nice.
