Thanks. Be glad to give you the tour sometime if you have not ridden there. Pretty much the same quality trails as at the Cove, just less miles. More trails are pending there too, waiting on the political process.........

Excellent. I will definitely take you up on that. I'm recovering from a back injury but as soon as the doc clears me to get back on the bike, I'm there.

I just had shoulder surgery three months a go. I am just now starting to feel good on the bike again, although even slower than I was before (hard to believe). Take your time and don't rush it too much.

PM me a few days before you want to ride. Also, we have an on-going Monday night ride 5:45 PM pretty much year round. Usually just a couple of us, finishing up at The Fork in the Alley.

Indeed I do know it well - in fact will be riding there tomorrow night. FYI - from what we can gather Ash's Trail should not have been marked (esp screwed into a tree. =O You can expect that sign to disappear. That trail enters the Park Service property near the top (as does Wood Thrush, hence no sign), so it can't be an official trail. On the other hand, there's rumblings of newness in the future?!? I can't imagine where other than maybe to the right off of Wood Thrush near the bottom. There's room for more if they would just ok it - of course the builders will be busy out at the Cove for "Rattlin' Run" (the trail across from BS Parking lot to Songbird)
Enjoying the trails one pedal stroke at a time...

Guess I will just have to keep riding the "Gate trail'.

I see where 3 new trails have been approved. I am looking forward to some new trails there. I probably ride Mill Mountain 10:1 over the Cove mainly for convenience.

Confirmed tonight, the "gate trail" aka Ash's trail is no more. Sign gone and trail has been blocked with debris by Rke City P&R. Not on their property for at least part and the other part they don't want people on since its not a sustainable trail. Maybe they can start flagging a new path and let people just rode it in until a work crew can go build.

I just went on and removed the pictures. I got fooled by the sign. Too bad the trail that doesn't exist is so much fun.

blame the sign owner for it getting attention and closed...

there's a system to getting new trails, as jacked up as it can be at times; there's a purpose and reason...
