Just a little more info: Not all state parks allow hunting. Gambrill State Park there is no hunting. Greenbrier there is. Best to check on a park by park basis via MD DNR's web site. Also, Frederick Watershed, which is not a state park, has hunting.

Finally, no Sunday hunting on public land, but some Sundays it is allowed on private property.

During this time of year it's best to stay of the woods on Saturdays where hunting is allowed. The hunters get a few weeks a year, so we should give them the woods on those few days. I say Saturdays because those are the most popular days even though you can hunt other days.

If you are in Richmond, stay out of Pocahontas State Park - they have a park sanctioned hunt in the beginning of December. Can't remember the exact times, but I think it's from December 2nd to the 7th..might be wrong though.
