    near snowshoe camping grounds pleeeeease!

can anyone, somebody pleeeease help me with the name or location of a campsite near snowshoe wv? i have been looking on the internet and i can't find anything close to it. the closest one that i have found is about 50min away.

i'll be driving up there from florida with some friends at the end of the month and we just want a chill place to relax and have some beers after riding without having to spend a lot of money on hotels, cabins or resorts.

    thanks!

Closest I could think of, though there may be some nearby private campgrounds as well:

    Seneca State Forest

    Good luck.

We have camped here, in Slatyfork:

    38.393112,-80.149126

    It's about 15 miles away... a 30 minute drive.

We stay at Tea Creek camp ground. Awesome trails all around and Snowshoe about 20 min drive. Primitive camping with toilets only but very relaxing. Get site by creek and keep food stored to avoid late night bear visit

Although not those same coordinates, I use to camp along that road every year when Snowshoe hosted their NORBA race. Dang that's been a long time ago. But I sure do miss that "extended" weekend we made of it.

When you camp at silver creek is there a specific side of the lot you go to? I get staying far from the dumpster.

Anyone have an issue this year? Anyone been approached by staff and been given guidelines?

Looking to head up next week and use a popup.
