    MTB races in central VA?

Any suggestions for some good races/organizations in central VA for a beginner?

Hook up with the CAMBC guys. They used to be involved in a couple of races a year in Central VA, and even if they aren't anymore, they can likely point you in the right direction.

They caught my eye since Poor Farm is only 20 minutes from me.

Looking at their respective race schedules, I'd say it's the same folks.

Looks like they do overlap some, confusing. I'm used to moto where each org has their own races. All the mtb series I've seen seem to intermingle.

CAMBC hosts the Chimney Chase at Walnut Creek Park. Think it's in June or July. Also a race is held at O-hill in C'ville. Forget the name, UVA bike club runs it. Both are good spots for riding.

I think it's silly to boycott any form of mountain bike racing. We should support anything that promotes more racing. No one really pays attention to either series results imho.
