Beginner(ish) looking for people to ride with in and around Frederick, MD

    YO!

Just picked up a 2013 GT Zaskar 9r Sport, have a couple buddies to ride with, but none too close by, just did Shaeffer Farms on my old bikesdirect bike on Saturday and had a blast.

Looking for some people to ride with around Frederick after work during the week, would like to explore the watershed and such, but don't really want to go it alone. I could, and probably will just continue farting around town, I live near downtown, but that's over kill on the new bike, so I will be keeping the bikesdirect bike (Windsor Cliff 4500) for that, but I want to get one on some trails with the new bike!

    Any takers?

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hey Chris!

Mostly a weekend warrior here, due to work and such, but shoot me a PM and I can fill you in on some of the beginner(ish) friendly trails in the Frederick area. Don't worry about getting lost up there; lots of blueberries this year, the bears will be well fed!

    Check out MORE

Check out Mid Atlantic Offroad Enthusiasts, and join the club if you're so inclined (but it's not a requirement). They're the group that maintains most of the trails around the area. Post up on the forums that you're looking for a weekday evening 'shed ride, you'll get some takers.

Yep! Already signing up there, I know they manage the Schaeffer farm trails, which are great, so I'll be doing what I can to contribute.
