I'm thinking about doing it again, as I did it last year as one of my first mtb races ever. It's a pretty small event though, and there currently isn't even anyone preregistered in my category :-( This has been the most disappointing aspect of mtb racing so far so me in my first year, how rinky-dink some of the races are. Adding insult to injury, I have to do a lot more commuting to mtb races than I ever did for my 10+ years of road racing.

I think I'm going to make the trip up as long as the weather holds. I'll either do the clyde or sport category. Anyone know what the 3mi. diffrence is? Never ridden at Burke before.

IIRC from last year's race, there was a 7 mile pretty tame loop, and also a 3 mile rocky loop. Each race had to do so many 7 mile loops and so many 3 mile loops. Based on the race distances listed for this year, it looks like they're planning on doing that again.

Glad some people are at least thinking about going. I figured it was a smaller event based on the number of registrants.

    There's beer after, right?

I haven't ridden Burke Farm but this thread got me to look into it. I've found that its a private trail network and to contact CAMBO for access but not much more than that. So what's the deal? Do you just need to be a CAMBO member or is the trail open for organized events only?

SManZ - It looks like you can ride Burke Farm anytime after paying a $25 annual fee to CAMBO

It was a great race - super slick on the first loop, so many folks dumping air out of their tires in the first lap. Cool location, wish I lived closer to explore it a bit more.
