    Arcadia Up and Over Ride

Last Friday’s turkey and pumpkin pie burner. Started on North Creek near Arcadia.

Warmed up on pavement, then some dirt road

    Onto singletrack for a bit

Then departed onto some doubletrack for a long climb

    At Parker Gap

The rest of climb is beneath Apple Orchard Mountain

    The top

    The view from Sunset Fields

    Across the road

A right onto Glenwood Horse Trail

Through the rhodo’s for a while

Over the top, and down into Bedford County for a bit

The leaves make this trail look so innocent, it is not

1.5 crashes later for me, we get down to Overstreet Falls I believe it is called

A dirt road climb back up to the parkway, then some road and Cornelius Creek

Beautiful stretch of creek and trail, full of rocks like the other side of the mountain

    Return via North Creek
Pardon the fuzzy pics, cheap new camera ain't all that

Great scenery and nice pics. Makes me wish I was in the mountains again.

Arcadia Up-n-over Mountain Bike Trail in Roanoke, Virginia || SINGLETRACKS.COM

The "up" part is pretty easy to navigate, the "over" is a little trickier but not too bad
