How far are you willing to go? Patapsco, Schaeffer Farm, Fountainhead, etc... All within an hour (at most) from greenbelt.

I'm hoping within 10 miles. May not have a vehicle.

Hours of Cranky Monkey Mountain Bike Relay Race

Rosaryville State Park - Upper Marlboro, MD

6 Hours of twisty, fast, and fun single-track!

Inspired by the huge success of our 9 and 12 hour races, the second annual 6 Hours of Cranky Monkey kicks-off our mountain biking season. Solo racers and teams of 2 or 3 will tackle as many 11-mile laps as they can in a 6 hour period, from 10am-4pm. In addition, we will once again bring back the 3 hour solo option. This is perfect for those not able to commit the time or training to compete in the full race.

Conveniently located right off the Capital Beltway, Rosaryville State Park is one of the DC area’s most popular mountain bike destinations and offers fun and challenging terrain, that is also beginner friendly. The mix of moderate terrain, relatively short race length for an endurance MTB event, huge grassy areas for staging, and early time of year makes this event ‘THE’ season opener for many mountain bike racers in the region.

Your best bet is Fairland Regional Park Fairland Regional Park Maryland Trail Reviews

There has been a lot of work done out there lately and there are some GREAT trails. You can get there from Greenbelt on bike no problem. There is an excellent shop in College Park (right at Rt 1 and the Beltway)called Proteus if you need anything.
