The new creek side features are great, I've been able to clear all but the one with the step ups. Kudos the gang from TS that put them in!!! I'll go finish pulling my pricker bush thorns out now.

The prickers have been trimmed. And I have trouble with the step ups, "Bottom Bracket Monster".

    dam you bottom bracket monster...

I found a couple guys on the trail last Saturday, and brought them by your new park. When I got there , 8 bikers were hanging around the feature.

I thought I was cool... and after I cleared all but the last plank, a guy at the beginning of the feature told me I dropped this...

Good times. Soon as my new parts come in, Im gonna clear it from the other direction.

Started regularly riding wcc and mr the last couple of months after a 2 year absence. I now ask my self why i ever stopped riding. The place is just awsome. Love all the new obstacles. I wad recently riding back from white clay a litte last the tunnel an thought it would be cool if there was a trail that went down one of the far down hill are as where the creek is at the bottom ( where the over look bench thing is). Any one else thought of this?

shotguns go until the 17th, then again on Dec 13-15. There are still some trails open. Check out Redd Park, and all of the chunk. I think this one is called the waterfall. It has a few different lines, with the more difficult on to be to drop off the ledge.

Was here yesterday for the 3rd time since I started MTB. Don't get too many high 60's days in December so I took a half day off work in New Castle and headed over.

Love the rolling hill section out in the open farm on Bryan's field.

    DE State Parks Hunting Schedule

Middle Run is still open. So is Iron Hill. Woodlawn is having or has had a hunting session but I don't remember the dates.

    I've never been there before,
Coming from Delaware county pa, would it be worth it on a day like today.
    Is the technical area open?

The "Skills Trail" is in Bryant's Field which is in White Clay, so no. Not until tomorrow.

The Creekside trail plank rides are in Middle Run. Those are accessible today.

Rode about 9 miles this evening. Dirt was perfect not wet and not dry, just right! Made a new loop, that's always something to look forward too!

Have yet to be to wissahicon in pa, but coming from Camden county cherry hill, NJ, wcc is the best park I know of! Ceres is great in mantua NJ, but the size in no way compares! I have heard Wiss is very technical, but haven't been there yet. Any thoughts?

The Wiss is not that technical - mostly double track with rocks. However, WCC is as non technical as it gets. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the most technical, I would say that WCC is a 1 and the Wiss is a 5.

Wiss and parts of Brandywine are similarly technical and hilly, more so than most all of WCC/MR.
Middle Run and White Clay trails are designed to be flowing and fast. There are technical features to ride if someone chooses and there are a few minor technical sections, but the trail design is per instructions from the higher ups. White Clay Creek is a state park, after all, and trails must meet certain DNREC standards and be accessible to all riders and hikers that wish to use them.
    It is what it is.
I'm just thankful to have such a nice trail system in my backyard.
