Was there monday - varied between "hero dirt" to "slightly wet on the surface" to "wtf thats a big mud puddle". Lots of riders out there. I need to help out on a work day in the spring to make up for my sins. Great day though.

Can't imagine it will be very good these next few days with the additional rain we got the other night, and the high temps tomorrow.

There's a sick new log ride on whitley farms.

Nothing firm but things have been discussed. A new skills area was one of them but at present I beleive all is on hold for warmer days. Till then ride the Red Park sections added the run from the Newark resiviour up to top of chappel hill loop thru the field behind the church (huge houses).

Did a nice 4 mile loop this past Sunday at Middlerun...It was my first ride of the season...Trails were a bit rough from all the exposed roots & rocks from the weather but overall still pretty sweet

    Bridge to Paper Mill Park

Does anyone know if the bridge section that was destroyed last year (unfortunate horse accident) has been repaired or if the trail has been re-routed in that section?

Rode on Whitely Farms and David English on Friday. Brian's Trail and Lenape on Saturday. Both days the trails were in perfect condition. Best I've ever seen. The weather really made it a perfect day to ride.

Just noticed Ken Cox did some updates to the best one page trail map ever. Even after riding there many many times I still use it. Thanks ken !

^ I noticed that also. I can't see the differences in the versions (ie., any new trails open to MTBs?), other than the new version does not have the s-m-l "hill icons", > - >> - >>> shown on the trails.

Don't have the old one with me but I think the redd park section is new. And I don't remember there being a map of the hiking only trails in the section off 896.

I opened the two versions and was alt-tabbing to see the differences. I do see some differences in the Redd Park area, some trails were in the old version, but there are a few differences in the new version.

And yes what looks like hiking only trails in the Carpenter Park area are new, as are the residential roadways in the triangle formed by Rt 72 and Papermill Rd on both sides of Redd Park.

I'm guessing the absence of the terrain indicator icons is an oversight, because the legend for them is still present at the top. They were very helpful when initially getting to know the trails, I hope not gone for good.

P.S: If KenCox.net is reading this, a suggestion: There is no way to print this out on more than one sheet of paper, such as in four quadrants on four sheets. There's some setting in the PDF file that appears to disable/prevent this. Put it down as nice to have.
