    XTR Bottom Bracket Bearing Race

Looking for the bearing race that goes on the axle, an axle w/bearing races, or lastly a complete BB assembly.

Been having issues with the bottom bracket so I took it all apart and found a missing bearing race (see pic).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

You are certain that the bearing race is still not just in the cup with the ball bearings? For the actual race, I would look for a Durace. They run significantly cheaper than the XTR one used and are the same internals. I think Ultegra might be the same as well but I have not validated that.

Any idea as where they are available?

I've looked but cannot find anywhere.

You will need to buy an entire bottom bracket sadly just to get the race. I would look on ebay to find one. If you go with the Durace or the Ultegra you can likely find stuff for under $50. If you just go with XTR (also not a bad idea since you can then have a spare) then assume you are $40-100 depending on the auction. Hit me up if you have issues.

Shot you a PM of a place to grab a Durace one. I am in no way affiliated with that place but I have bought from the guy before and had good luck. Hope that helps you out.

Ah, good catch, I did not notice that. As FYI in a pinch, you could still use that for the race, the bearings, the seals etc. The only thing that would not work would be the cups. Depending on the type of bike these will go on, I have even heard of folks using the Durace 109.5 in place of the 112.5 XTR on a steel frame and having it work great while even having a lower Q factor. Good luck!!

Thanks for the info, I didn't know D-A & XTR were compatible.
