Who had the first faux-bar bike?

I can remember the 1996-97 trek fuel as a faux bar, but i don't think they were the first. Kona? Turner? Brooklynn? who was it?

Well, if I remember correctly, people made bikes with the pivot on the seat stay first. HL put the pivot on the chain stay because of the benefits with braking.

Ventana Marble Peak in '94. Ventana also probably designed and built most of the big name prototypes back then, and production frames. Some manufacturers you may recognize.
