What are my options for replacing my 1" Rockshox Quadra fork?

I have a nice titanium framed 26er dating from the early -mid 90s that really needs a fork update. Although I haven't actually measured the steerer diameter yet it's my understanding that the original Quadras were all 1" tubed forks. At this point in time I mainly ride the bike on paved or gravel roads so moving to a rigid fork may make the best sense. I believe this is a Lynskey frame. It's in nice shape and rides well and I still love it dearly so I'm not ready to just "move on".

Thanks for any informed ideas regarding fork replacement.

Not all Quadra's were 1", so measure it.

You're going to want to look for something around the same axle-to-crown length, so measure that also. (It's probably something around 410mm, but really - measure it.)

This has been covered in LOTS of threads here, so if you poke around you'll see lots of threads with ideas. Most roads lead to ebay.
    Don't call it a gooseneck.
