    Weird Police Auction Find

Purchased a rather odd full suspension mountain bike at a recent police auction. The frame is painted in a very ugly brown industrial coating, making it impossible to easily determine the manufacturer. The frame is very well built, with lots of heavy welds and gussets. It looks like an older independent rear triangle, Y-frame type design. Very large eccentric bottom bracket. Lots of high-quality components (XTR/XT, Juicy Seven, Fox Float, Rockshox Duke, Bontrager wheels, etc.) but too odd a mix to be factory. The only component I am confident is factory original is the XTR front derailleur.

Way too new for this forum. Nice score though, clean it up, and ride it like you stole it!

That is an early iDrive, 1999 or 2000. 4.6" rear wheel travel. Super easy to overhaul the iDrive assembly. Simple stiff awesome riding bike.
