    Watermelon Paint Jobs

A shot in the dark, but does anyone have pics of some watermelon color schemes (pink/green)? Trying to get some ideas for a custom retro build. Thanks in advance!

I apologize as I don't have any pics but a couple of years ago I was messing around with an old Proflex frame that somebody had stripped the paint off of and using it to practice my frame painting skills. I had painted the frame a solid green(bright but not quite neon) and did a pink splatter paint job on it. For an amateur job, it was pretty cool looking if you can imagine!

I miss bikes being painted obnoxious colors like that.

Seems like the only "awesomely ridiculous" one I can think of is Salsa's Beargrease in that neon orange/neon pink combo.

That Klein is strangely modest for a watermelon paint job. Pretty nice looking actually. If that Otis Guy is the bike I'm thinking it is, I think I remember it from my childhood. It may be the one that sent me down this road.

I dunno, EXTREEEEEME "Kawasaki" green has been Cannondales go to color for like, 2/3 of their fleet for the last 5 years, frankly I'm tired of it. So may hues in the wheel, why stick to one that looked played out back in the early 2000's "extreme" phase...

That said I agree, fun, obnoxious paint was fun!

I wish I could find the pics of the Klein I had; dark midnight purple fading to the most eye-searing pink imaginable.

That's my NOS Attitude at the top. Ron, could this be the paint scheme you're talking about?

Got one like this too (pic is too big to upload here, so this link will have to do).
