Posted this over in the drivetrain forum but I wanted to share it here too. I think maybe folks in the VRC forum have a greater appreciation for 'just make it work' modifications. The frame is a mid/late 90's model (96 ?) and all of the parts are that age or from an earlier era.
Bars - 10" rise, 26+ inches wide, 12 degree sweep
Seatpost - 500+ millimeters, custom modified (note the triangle shaped wedge underneath the seat. This odd ball chromoly post had no method of altering the seat angle so I cannibalized an old crank arm for a solution. The angle is set, but it works and the connection is solid enough.
Freewheel - Suntour 2 speed 16/20
Cranks - Suntour XC Pro (56/94mm) 19/28/42
